The view from my "office"

We used our Amex $450 to fly over as code share QF on NF metal in Y as separate tickets, and then used QF points for return journey again as codeshare Y on NF metal, but this time they put us in exit row seats at no cost - perhaps due to my WP.
Both flights on time, no dramas, basic service, sounded like Aussie pilots, reasonable plane.
It is only about a 3 - 3.5 hour flight, no inflight entertainment, so just scrapped in on our 4 hour cap on travelling in Y if J not available.
Would I do it again - yes.
Have I had worst flights - yes.
It's not QF or EK, and Port Vila airport is very basic, but as a destination for a break away, it fits the bill.
Only downfall is the 7am departure from PV. If you can get a later flight, is saves the 4am alarm, tho the sunrise was nice.
Thanks for that great summary @Bindibuys
Pretty much like MEL-CNS!
Will seriously consider for Mr Flyfrequently's "*0" birthday.

In September, to Melbourne looks like they now have a 1220 flight departure.
Thanks again.

Across the road from the Quetta church above was the largest supermarket. I thought I may be able to get a few QFF points when I saw this.

But I walked through the door with the manager who dashed my hopes by saying that it is only because they use the Woolworth’s buying system that they have those bags.

Yes, tonight is our 2nd and last night at the Luttrell Arms, a lovely place with good food - I would definitely stay here again. We are in the room pictured on the right. I’ve been here meeting a relative who lives nearby and they recommended and booked us in here.

His/Her Majesty's Customs?
From the 1800s when the English moved in there was a Custom's house. The first was a wooden building opened in 1885. The current building was opened in 1938 beside the old Custom's house which was demolished when the new building opened. It now has a new tenant.DSC08939.JPG
