The view "from" the wing is probably copyright so this is my view "of" the Wing

re: The view from my "office"

Would love to try that out at some point...

The seat was very comfortable and the cabin airy - spacious etc - I had a dicky IFE but other than that enjoyed it.

It was very well worn - and dated.

Steady, could you resolve a "discussion" several of us are having? You were in the nose of a 747 and most of us suspect it is one of the last of the QF 747s with the old First seats. Some in the group are convinced they are not QF seats. Can you settle this for us? Thanks

Looks like the old QF B747 F to me.

re: The view from my "office"

The colour looks vey "BAish" but Ba don't fly 747s to Sydney anymore and Steady did post photos of the Flounge....A touch of the amateur detective in all of us....?

And the fact that Steady is/was in HKG

(With apologies to Lt. Col Kilgore and so that people don't think my grammar is totally atrocious)

The Qantas Source states that VH-OEB operated QF127 Thu 19 Nov SYD/HKG. The other 744 in the old 4 class config VH-OJM operated QF63 SYD/JNB.

The other giveaway was the maroon blanket on one of the seats which QF use in J. Not sure what colour blankets BA have.
