re: The view from my "office"

From the looks of the view, you were in Kangaroo Point - I'll hazard a guess and say Il Mondo

Yes Kangaroo Point, but 8th floor Bridgewater Apartments.
Apartment was nice, but had to sleep with the blinds down and ear-plugs.
I am so used to silence (well a few animal noises) and complete darkness, sleeping in the city with the lights and constant hum of cars on the bridge was a challenge.

Shanghai still tops the list of noisiest city to sleep in.

SAS jumping out of a perfectly good aircraft into Swanbourne Barracks again today. I was better prepared this time. Photos only from my phone and in bright sunlight it was hard to see the image on the screen, so just pointed in the general direction and snapped away.

Again today, a smaller group (about 6-7) jumped first and the main group only after the first group had landed. Also, the first group used blue parachutes; the main group khaki. Perhaps some of our military types can offer some explanation of all this.

FYI, the green-roofed building nestled behind the dunes and in front of the Norfolk Island pines is the Swanbourne-Nedlands SLSC clubrooms, with hip Shorehouse (I think I mistakenly called it Shoreline before) restaurant adjacent and hidden to the right, and with the SLSC watchtower on the edge of the dunes in front.

Looks good, BB ;). A good jogging track too, by the look of it :).

Yes, I was thinking of you when I took the picture, thinking... it's not sand, but it will do the job.....
FYI road is 800 meters long, I do 6-8 laps each morning.

re: The view from my "office"

This office was a bit too noisy and crowded to get much work done...
