Thanks PortThis morning we visited several venues including the fort and the opera house. Vigeland Sculpture Park was the highlight, though. Vigeland’s wrought iron gates are so beautiful. I could have spent a few more hours in the park.
Vigeland made the statues naked so they wouldn’t date. Clothes would have narrowed the time to one year or decade. Naked allows the imagination to see families interacting, loving, playing, arguing. Timeless.

This afternoon we visited the Norwegian Folk Museum, an outdoor museum incorporating examples of centuries of living. And a stave church from the 1700s.
