LHR T5 F lounge. Bah humbug! Off on my annual company Christmas markets trip.

Final leg of our trip to/from the UK via SIN. Lunch at the Jewel, late check-out from the CP, and dinner in the QF First lounge.

I’m not sure I should even post here. My office” doesn’t have a view! Well, from what I can see in the dark, there is a small maintenance square outside, surrounded by walls and air conditioners. Megaboom City Hotel, Sydney CBD. I’m only sleeping the night here, so a single room was extremely inexpensive. And small!

Sun is out this morning after a weekend of rain and many cancelled community events.

Not at all. A cruise - heck yeah. This ship? Heck no.

We were on the beachfront renting when Covid struck. We used to watch the cruise ships come in and out. Then nothing for a couple of years. A couple of moves later and we are renting again even closer to outer harbour. There are so many cruise ships this year. Diamond Princess a regular but also Viking, and many others.

My understanding of physics is shady at best but my brain cannot comprehend how these ships don't just turn turtle!

Inside is the place to be if you're in the area and missing Antarctica. Finally made sense to get a hot coffee!
The long rectangles towards the top spend their days waving back and forth, shades of HNL...

Sky suite? I am so tempted to do this on Apex in 2026 but Magic Carpet suite. So tempted. That bath gave it away. Oh. And that window. Same as what I have on hold. Which level? I've got 8 for that suite on hold for a B2b. 8200. Maybe level 6 or 7? We currently have two sunset verandas on hold which of course are all sold out now for these two cruises (2026 ). So a big move. The (Thankfully) Temp office that is the Tujuwan Lounge, Denpasar Airport. (Upstairs, Mezzanine - where you'll be directed by default)
My first time here, but I believe it's an attempt to bring the old Premier Lounge (per QF App) to a modern-ish standard.
Seems like they paid a good price for their furnishings, as they've really crammed them in - to the point that when it fills up with people and their rollers, that those on the outer edges have some task to get to the centrally located food, drinks and barista.
The crowds ebb and flow as the evening goes on, not a surprise with the laundry list of airlines using the service.
Settling in for a delayed departure back to SYD.
