With my visit upstairs gladly truncated, the downstairs Tujuwan is a cool relief - less capacity, but it appears less busy than upstairs, and the newish looking furniture (not from the same container as upstairs) is more humanely arranged. They've definitely gone to town on any criticism of being a dark space - certainly not mood lighting here.
One feature that may be of use for some was the way that the foods are labelled, with the dish named on the front, and ingredients listed on the reverse. Not sure how comprehensive the list is, but it shows some effort being applied!
The basic structure here is seats around the edges, with food in the centre, tended bar and self serve soft drinks down the back.

Sky suite? I am so tempted to do this on Apex in 2026 but Magic Carpet suite. So tempted. That bath gave it away. Oh. And that window. Same as what I have on hold. Which level? I've got 8 for that suite on hold for a B2b. 8200. Maybe level 6 or 7? We currently have two sunset verandas on hold which of course are all sold out now for these two cruises (2026 😳). So a big move. And a big increase in 💰💰💰

Apparently people have reported it's so low it's not really an issue.

The bath is very shallow, so indeed is not a problem at all to step in and out of.

I am on deck 10, suite 10162. Very nice location. Only the end two Magic Carpet suites each side have this bonus window feature. I love it! Ordinary Sky Suites have the bed facing out to sea, and a sliding panel in the bathroom to look out to the balcony, which is nice. The room next door to me can be integrated with mine if you have family. There is a connecting door from the corridor, then another door into my suite after the connecting door. Spacious balcony.

It is wonderful having the retreat lounge, and retreat outdoor deck facing forward. However, I have found Eden an absolutely beautiful space in the evening, so many private nooks.

This cruise was well priced for a solo. November next year was far more expensive, so I have booked an infinite veranda to try. ☹️

At my short-term SYD office, to be evicted at 8.15 or so.
QF44 Arrived late, made to wait for a high-ish gate number, transferring to QF3, first time ever I've done INT-INT in Australia. All old scanners here, liquids and laptops, tablets OUT. The closest transfer was C, which as some may know spits you out in front of the Emirates Sydney Lounge. May as well enjoy a good breakfast here before slinking up to the QF business lounge for a proper coffee.20241202_073553.jpg
Love the eye contact here!

My understanding of physics is shady at best but my brain cannot comprehend how these ships don't just turn turtle!
There's a big lump of metal at the bottom, the engine. It's "ballast". In the early days sailing ships had to take on a load of stones to stop them turning on the return journey when they would have been lightly loaded. They then dumped it at their arrival port.

Love it! I've enjoyed that view many times.

And the view from this evening’s 2nd office, Aspire Lounge NRT T2.
May I say, as a first time traveller to Tokyo, there is no comparison between Aspire and Sakura lounges.
Sakura wins by a stretch.
