The view from my "office"

Over to the Coogee Bay SYD office for the Aus Day long weekend. Stopped in Mittagong for lunch at the House of Lowe Chinese (Combination short soup was great, packed full of beef, chicken and wontons with a couple of token veggies) and a mooch around before heading off to Coogee.

First stop, Friday happy hour at the Coogee Wine Room on Coogee Bay Rd.

...then a stroll down Coogee Bay Rd

Definitely not a good way to win friends in parking constrained Coogee..

Saturday morning walk, smooth beats going down...IMG_20250125_103318755_HDR_AE.jpg

Our office for today is Santos, Brazil. An important port for the coffee trade. Also, it has (according to the Guinness World Records) the largest stretch of beachfront garden at over 5km long. The city seems to get slagged off a bit (for tourists to come here) but we've enjoyed our time.

Bought multiple pairs of (genuine) Havaiana and Ipanema thongs ranging from $7-$15 AUD a pair. Nuts.

Today’s office was busy…

…despite another day of jellyfish galore. 🪼

IMG_5050.jpeg

Even after being warned, plenty of people were still keen. ⚠️

More than 100 people treated for jellyfish stings before 11am.

Looking relaxed after hitting the century in the opening session.

Mooloolaba, Queensland.

Drove over to Little Bay (SYD) for a lunch time swim. The relly we're staying with hasn't been there before so we packed our swimming gear and went for a look. Can definitely say it was fantastic.

Little Bay's shallow, calm and very safe for kids and unconfident swimmers unlike some of the other eastern beaches (Coogee) that can get pretty rough. There's 80 odd stairs to tackle but well worth it and the water was brisk and mighty refreshing. IMG_20250125_115412332_AE.jpg
Lunch today was at the Cloey (Clovelly Hotel), couple of schooies and the schnitty, chips and salad went down a treat.

...and a scenic walk through Clovelly back to the car trip home.

Quiet night in tonight, looking forward to lunch time booze cruise on SYD harbour tomorrow.

And a great big Great White shark on the point.
I used to swim there 25 yrs ago whenever I saw my specialist at Prince Henry Hospital.
