The view from my "office"

re: The view from my "office"

2nd day home sick (too sick to go to work & spread germs) so time to paint the foyer ceiling & cornice. My Office for the day.

This was the entrance to my office for a few days last year while I gathered material for a book that I was writing on International Law.

Why are these photos taken from behind the wing ?

Photos should always be taken in front of the wing :)

1. See discussion in other thread about seat selection on LAN.

2. Talk to my client! ;)

On the return flight I'm in 2L (yes, 2L) :)

I will actually write up a proper trip report on this but wow!!! Best day trip I've ever taken today.

Yes!! That's the one. I'm not on an organised tour. Booked a day stay direct with the hotel.
It is indeed very special :)

I don't usually see this thread but just tripped over it.
We added a stopover at Al Maha on one of the early transits through DXB.
Absolutely brilliant accommodation, service and added attractions. And complemented by the Chauffeur Drive in both directions, which unexpectedly worked, despite the distance from the airport.
Thanks for reminding me! :):)

Don't understand the orientation of 2nd photo - looking back at fuselage?.

Looking straight down through the left hand window, toward the ocean. Left hand nacelle in top of picture.
Small white dot is a Mooney 3000 ft below. Just north of Jurien Bay

A couple of interesting photos of the Hoover Dam showing the tide mark overall and in relation to the spill way.

Major,

as someone who has crossed the Andes many times, and thus suffered the horror of air travel in Sth America, I truly take my hat off to RooFlyer and his dedication to Photography and Art. I would never have been so bold, so brave, to walk back into that "cabin" behind the Curtain, solely for the purpose of showing something what we all previously knew from another angle. Bravo RooFlyer!! (PS I hope that once you made it safely back in front of the Curtain, you swabbed yourself with two handfuls of the purple LAN disinfectant wipes. I hate to think you brought back germs into MY cabin?? :/
