The view from my "office"

re: The view from my "office"

Yes, Melbourne. Victorians will always tell you it's the Paris of Australia!

I actually agree with that (an Adelaidean:o). I said something similar to MrP near Southbank last week. In the next couple of months we are taking out a lease on an apartment in Melb and will live between the two cities.

The early starts and late finishes on my MQL trips usually get to me a bit but when I look out the window and see this it somehow makes me at peace

Only got a few pics on the phone from the weekend work trip. Rest are on the SLR but they're all owned by the office now.IMAG2779.jpg

Are there any plaques on the walls? Statues in the squares? Official days of celebration?

PS ... Are we speaking of the comedian Tony Hancock, or of the infamous AFFer Tony Hancock? ;)

Quite possibly both.Dont know about plaques, statues but the Parking staion has quotes from him as well as Benny Hill and Christopher Bales both of whom were schooled here.
TH's quote-"I want a frothy coffee without the froth."

Ah, you should have said earlier!

Must be the comedian, as our TH would definitely want all the froth he can muster! I actually though there was a plaque to our TH that said something like ... "no froth, then don't bother"!

Part of my actual office. Moving houses so I have been leaving the deliveries at work rather than take them home and move them again.
