re: The view from my "office"

All the Victorians have flown north for winter.. Not surprising it's gorgeous in Queensland at the moment :)

re: The view from my "office"

Cloudy, but very calm day in the WA wheatbelt yesterday, making it a very pleasant office measuring early results of cereal fungicide trials. Crops are looking excellent throughout after an early start to the season and consistent, widespread rains since. Fingers crossed that pattern continues into September - a record crop will almost certainly be the outcome. Great vibe among farmers at present, which is great to see after some recent poor or patchy seasons :).

re: The view from my "office"

The building with the white top right in front is the old HI. Units (including a few suites) came up for sale in recent years and I damn near bought a couple. I can't remember the exact price, but in the region of $70-80k each, which seemed like a steal. I was turned off by the inspection though, as to the state of the place. The units were OK, but when you see rubbish piled up in the elevators and rum and coke cans on the window sills of the foyers, you know keeping maintenance bills low is most likely a pipe-dream!

Have fun you lot! (some of us have to work and keep the economy going)!

This morning's view of the Gold Coast.

Magnificent end of winter weather on the Gold Coast. Looking from my back deck out towards the coast, I think I see a few Victorians in the distance So nice it was a good day to take pooch to the beach.

re: The view from my "office"

And where are you off to now, may I ask? :)

Just Canada, for a week for work. I'm currently on board Air Canada heading for Cow Town and the possibility of some more Alberta CAB :)

What seat did you select?

4K. What was I thinking? Cabin was wide open when I went to select, except for row 3 (it ended up chokkers). I chose 1) the aisle with two lots of traffic down it, and b) close to the galley. :(The first didn't matter, but one very chatty guy positioned himself in the galley and spoke in 'mobile phone' tones for a while.

But it was a lovely flight.

If that's from your back deck, then we must be neighbours Meggsy (well just down the road a bit).....I probably do my Kokoda training treks past your place!

Here's a view from my back yard!

I tell you what..... that telephoto lens on you camera must be huge to capture the picture of the dog from your back deck like that, with such a degree of clarity! ;)

Bummer; A side is definitely preferable.
