The view from my "office"

re: The view from my "office"

At least it was Friday! The day seemed to be full of applications that gave error messages more often than they worked and a pile of credit card transactions to be acquitted, movement reqs to be created and submitted, my travel booked, ongoing 'discussion' with our WoAG accommodation supplier, the travel booking company forgetting to book part of a requested itinerary and other sundry mishaps. At least the online booking tool worked, except in between clicking finalise and the booking being created for my travel the week after next, the price point I had selected was sold out! Now you can see why it was desperate. Time to break out the sour worms.

I can look forward to flying out on 18 Dec to Bangkok though.

It's not all about golf. I do have a soft spot for orchids.

Are you staying in Bangkok ? we will be in BKK from 14/12 to 20/12.
We are there briefly - from 19 - 22 then board the E&OE train to Singapore on 23rd with a few days in Singapore at the end, home by NYE, so a very short trip.
Staying at the Chatrium Riverside in Bangkok and IC in Singapore. Know the IC well but first time at the Chatrium so not sure what it will be like.

And we are in Bangkok on 27th - 28th Dec. then to Koh Tau (booked before the recent murders - the day before! ) in order to catch up with travelling son. His recommendation and not the usual new year jaunt. Hmmm.

The IC in Singapore is rather nice. Try the Chai Tea at breakfast - very traditional and wonderful. Think it's made with condensed milk.

Mmmm. My office today. Supermarket.

Stuck in my car in a thunderstorm. Very rare for Adelaide to have one that's lasted all day.
