The view from my "office"

re: The view from my "office"

I decided to pull a "late shift" last night and went down to Princes Pier to snap the QM2 before she left at midnight. I have to say the band on board the QM2 was excellent, entertaining the whole foreshore as well as the nightclub(?) on board the ship. They covered the decades ranging through - "I'm a believer" (Monkees), "Superstition"(Stevie Wonder), "Jump" (Van Halen), "Happy" (Pharrell Williams).

The band plays on the back deck during sailaway. The disco is in the bowels  way forward. Perfect weather for it last night.

San Rafael Glacier office. The colours are real.
Wow! Pity I can't hit "Like" button multiple times. So envious - I had booked to ride a steam train in Patagonia from Esquel to El Maiten for last October but unfortunately the Argentinians upped the price so much so as to make the tour non-viable. I was going to visit San Carlos de Bariloche, the glaciers and Rio Turbio at the same time.

Sigh. Now seeing what I missed.

Me neither
My home office had a visit from someone's mobile office (for Straitman):

re: The view from my "office"

My home office had a visit from someone's mobile office (for Straitman):
They have just returned to do the night runs, but are running"darK" so lots of noise, but not much to see (one tiny red light blinking in the gloom). They are coming in pairs, and after finishing their task one turns away to the right, and the other to the left, and that takes the second one straight over our house.

As Major has indicated with his photos the weather in Port Macquarie has been pretty nice this week. Taken from small carpark above town beach. Beach patrols are still going & a few surfers & swimmers are enjoying the conditions
