Sounds like a story on which elaboration may be in order. Where is it? Is it a renovated prison? ... and what's with all the dead grass around the pool? Seems like their grounds staff have been enjoying too many of those bent ales!

Quite an interesting story, the part we are staying in has been turned into a hotel, you can still see the original marks in the concrete from the formwork on the ceiling, another part is a Youth Hostel, a Museum with attached art gallery and a DDR museum.
We didn't intend staying here, I thought it was still in ruins, although I did want to see the buildings, or what was left of them. The room is more like an apartment, a week here would be very refreshing!
