Is that one of ours? I thought they didn't actually work after we spent a few hundred million. Excellent.
Yes this one was ours. There was a US vessel (similar size, transport & logistics my guess) berthed for a couple more days in the Inlet. Constant police presence on the water and on the wharf but minimal disruption to everyday life in that area (fishing, the cafe and kids playground etc). Only drawback for me was the occasional diesel smell when the wind blew in a particular direction. Not so large a ship to block the view from room 922.

This cannot be Adelaide.
Ffffffreeeezing. Lightening. Thunder. And of course, blackout.

Stuck in officeworks.

Arrived back in Sydney to the disaster of no trains at airport. Missed my train from Central and now have waited an hour for next train home.
Weather MUCH Nicer in SYD after ADL.

Apparently a crane fell over at Wolli Creek, and it must have been above the platforms on the airport line.

Not a great photo but the view from my friends backyard - you can hear the sheep baaing and we're just off to play croquet

Marathon day at the World Athletics Championships in London. We cheered on Aussie Jack Colreavy on the second last turn. He seemed to go faster when we shouted Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi.

He finished 45th in 2 hrs 41 min and 22 seconds. Just finishing is a brilliant effort in my book.

Meantime, elsewhere in London today:

A quick jaunt across the Brisbane River and back from Apollo Road Bulimba to Bretts Wharf Hamilton.
