The view from my "office"

Tell me about Tassie (specifically Hobart vicinity) gins?

I tried the Sud Polaire at lunch last week and am visiting to get a bottle of that. I picked up a Red Okar from Applewood in Adelaide Hills today.

Not far from Port Arthur was a gin distillery and I saw samples/buy bottles at Salamanca Markets today. What I liked was they also sold smaller bottles, so you could get a few to taste before committing to just one.

As if swimming the English Channel wasn't hard enough already, now you have to look out for the windmills:

One would need rocks in their head to swim the English Channel. Bumping into the odd turbine pile would have little or no impact, I'd suggest! ;)

Dinky photo but flight from Mel to ADL took an unusual flight pattern this morning - right over our shack on Clayton Bay on Lake Alexandrina. In all our years of flying have never had that before.

Did I hear Bogan Bingo?

P&O's Pacific Aria which was formerly HAL's Ryndam in a past life berthed at Portside Wharf Hamilton in Brisbane.

Reading some of the reviews by passengers about pax & crew after hour hookups a la Rhonda & Ketut is a real turn off.

I think I can safely say my P&O days are well and truly behind me so I'll stick with Celebrity and RCCL time being.

I cannot wait to get back on that boat next year.
We have been on that boat and the sister boat Pacific Eden and loved both trips even with problems with our room we are keen as mustard to get back on board.
