I was there a couple of months ago and was seriously disappointed - sometimes it's better to remember the dream. it probably didn't help that it was very dreary weather that day

Yes, I understand. However, although not quite the vistas with Hamish and the characters, I think still worth a visit if you are able.
 
Charles Rennie Machintosh was fabulous. But some of this was surely Mary Macdonald, his wife, who was exquisite for her designs in glass. Which house was this?
