Just back to connectivity, so firstly, my office for the past week...Buna Village.

Here to do an incorporated land group registration, which is basically defining and adding to the topo maps, the customary land holdings. It's been really interesting, however trudging miles through very tropical jungle and swamps in December was possibly not the wisest move I've ever made. I've ended up with an infected foot, which was the result of bite from something in the swamps!

This time to Buna, we brought fun stuff ... a couple of Aldi kites were a real hit, plus a pack of Uno and who can't recall the fun of a game of trouble!

This trip has, of course, had it's upsides as well ... it's fishing season and we've had some of the most wonderful crays and fish! How often can you say you'd had your fill of crayfish for breakfast ... the young guys go diving at first light and bring back freshly speared crays!! We were also initiated into the tribe this trip, so on Sunday night we had a feast to mark the occasion. We're now Jengoba clan members of the Sauga tribe (I think)! I guess I'd better not run for Aussie politics! ;)

Where is that? In WA, we usually refer to the 'NW' as being broadly the Pilbara. That doesn't look like the Pilbara to meo_O.
Ah, forgive my simplistic and flawed description. Did some driving on a very quick work trip in the Fitzroy Crossing, Wyndham and Kununurra area. This pic was closer to Kununurra from memory - hence not quite the real WA I guess.

It was also a few months ago. Had the Triffids song in my head on the weekend and thought of the pic so posted it.
