The view from my "office"

Those huge screens in FC must be distracting to adjacent passengers?

I didn't notice that as all passengers were in window seats but I think you are right.

Doesn’t appear greatly different to J which in Qatar larger planes is very nice.

Food selection was almost the same as business flight we flown from Zagreb to Doha.

I didn't like J cabin on A380 that much though. The new business suite would be great on this plane.

I think we may have had that suite from Mel? In any event it was great.

Stop tormenting me with pictures of Berlin:(. You are making me so jealous. (Please keep them coming.) Have they finally finished the construction work on the Unter den Linden from the Adlon down to the equestrian Statue of Frederick the Great?
Sadly not, seems they may have got half-way. We went down to see Frederick the Great because a distant member of MrsOatek's family, Lt Gen George Driesen, is also imortalised on the plinth (one of Fred's favourites).IMG_6800.JPG IMG_6797.JPG

Thanks for the photos and the bit of interesting information. Hopefully the work will be completed by 2020, when we hope to visit Berlin again.

Last I heard A380s won't get the new suite until 2020 and it will be a modified version as the upper deck (also 787s) isn't as large as 777. The current J seat looks great. I just don't like the feel of the large cabin.

Another PERfect winter's day. A kayak on the Canning River. Saw lots of birds including ducks (which made me decide Peking duck was in order for dinner). Also spotted this rate South African four engine bird.

I must have just missed you! I am just back - about 30 minutes ago - from riding my bike around that bit of river. Coming from Willetton, across the Nicholson Road Bridge and back across the Kent St Weir. All I saw were lots of Qantaslink 717's.

Absolutely lovely day to be out.

Small world! :)

Yeah, must have been almost a dozen 717s and F100s. Also saw a couple of A330s and a 737 for good measure. Just as we left to drive home, saw QF10 coming in too. Not a bad way for a little plane spotting really.

It's like my childhood all over again, many rides around those areas.

Drottningholm Palace by Ferry

I love the fenders on the boat ... lumps of tree trunks tied off to cleats that were not likely designed to hold that weight!

I'm always amazed at the grandeur of these buildings, massively impressive ... yet so bloody gaudy, all at the same time. You certainly wouldn't want to wake up in that bedroom with a hangover!

I think the answer is that they never did wake up there. One bedroom in a quiet spot away from every one, and one for morning audiences to show off in.
