The view from my "office"

This is what I wake up to in Sydney when I am there. It may have looked nice when they were designing but I'm struggling to think if I've seen an uglier house.

That’s almost the same as my view at home. Goddam ugly and cost almost 2 million to build a couple of years ago. It’s surrounded by Tudor houses. It was presented to Council as Tudor Style.

My view of it. And the first blush of roses is going. Hopefully new batch for Christmas. And it’s raining and cool in Adelaide! That’s coz the Bureau said it would be a hotter and drier spring here.

So Pushka the local Tassie weathermen must have done their training in SA.Sundays paper when I got to LST had them saying November would be really dry and hot.So it hasn't stopped raining and they predict it will continue until the weekend.Plus the temp hasn't gone above 16 yet though they are still predicting 19 by the end of the day.

There’s talk of moving SA BOM to Sydney. Everyone is up in arms. They aren’t local blah blah. Given our SA Bureau just sit at the computers watching their (GIGO) models, I’d say bring on the move.

They are called Heartease John. My mum grew them and I also have some in my garden.
Thanks. European wildflower. Google seems to come up with pansy tricolor. Could be one and the same. I've only just noticed them. Mum has them everywhere. They are beautiful.

P.S. I said to my brother on the weekend that we've got to keep this legacy going and the consensus was that it would be me.

Don't understand what people are thinking when they design a house. Something that's different? Something that stands out?

I'll hopefully be in that situation soon and my goal would be something very simple that does not attract attention for various reasons.

Aaahhh, it is very PERtinent and a PERquisite that PERfection PERsists for the non-PERilous midweek PERiodic, but not PERfunctory - PERish the thought, PERambulations of PERseverance by a PERson of PERsistence on the PERiphery of the Indian Ocean to PERmit the endorphins to PERmeate the PERicranium to PERpetuate bliss and PERversely and PERsistently PERplex in PERpetuity those PERsons who have the PERsonal misfortune to not be PERmitted such delights, PER se.

Hyuk, hyuk...

Just as my PERspiration was beginning to PERsist, what is this that I PERceive 2.5 clicks along the beach just at my normal PERegrination reversal point?

A beaked whale carcass. Rangers were trying to drag it sufficiently clear of the water to avoid it drifting away before the loader arrived to remove it. Measured length 4.4 m.

Some amusement: the red flag that indicates beach closure when the SAS are live-firing at Swanbourne Barracks was up at the observation tower but no cones or signs were on the beach. A bit odd, I though to myself until I got a little closer to see that the cetacean adventure was the reason. The SAS presumably had to practise silent methods this morning...
