The view from my "office"

It's a form of the "Australia Tax"; I am led to believe the "New Zealand" tax is worse ...
I just think tourist places in Australia have jumped on to a price bandwagon without improving the quality of the product or the service. First struck me in Kangaroo Island a few years ago where prices were extortionate for the quality of the food offering and service was awful everywhere. A bit like mention a Wedding and you add an extra zero.

I'm bored. My office view today ... Rainy CNS. Plane's gone tech, been waiting since 05:30. Replacement en-route from HGU ... apparantly.

And tourism associations wonder why Aussies travel overseas.....

Exactly this! As someone living in PER I flew PER-MEL-SYD-NOU and return in J for under $1100. If I wanted to holiday in CNS it would have cost me a tiny bit less....in Y! Or for double that fare I could have flown just to MEL one way in J.
