The view from my "office"

There certainly is something special about Europe in Spring - it knows how fleeting it will be so every tree, flower, bird, and bee throw themselves into it with full force.

It looks so much more awesome around where I live, you really notice the different from the barren landscape during winter. Alas right now and for the foreseeable future I'm stuck looking at auto rikshaws and hazy skies!

The TWA terminal and hotel at JFK, some of the details.

Today was the highlight of our trip so far. Climbed the "Donkey Trail" above Kotor Montenegro. Third photo shows where we climbed down & went through the hole in the wall to join the Ladder Of Kotor. The Marella Discovery was in the port

Good grief. Why does Alaska railroad feel the need to blow their piercing horns every 2 minutes in built up zones. From our hotel window. The most expensive dump we’ve ever stayed in. I have some explaining to do....

This station marks the commencement of all the tourist trains into Denali. We boarded part of it yesterday from Seward.

cough. Just worked out we’d stayed in the wrong room!

I di not, but when I looked out onto the new nondescript higher rise hotel rooms building just behind, I could see every bed clearly through the windows. I could have asked about this distinct lack of privacy but was in a hurry to get to the lounge. It’s def worth a follow up.
EDIT, just read some TA reviews. I am reminded that it was hard to find a way into the hotel from the terminal as there are signs outside to not cross the road. You go to T5 on the Airtrain.
Did you stay? Would love some more description about it if you did ...

Was it worth it?
I'm not a gin drinker but I Thought it was interesting. Ron enjoyed it. The best part for me was the botanical room - you sniff all the stuff they infuse into it and on a card you record what you like - at the end of the tour they tell you what gin drink you would like from you sniff card - and it works - both our drinks were great !!! Cost £25 each. Full report and pics in Rons Trip Report

Was it worth it?
For me it was.We did a hosted tour-25GBP.
You can do a self guided tour for 16 GBP or 14.40 GBP if over 65.No concessions for hosted tour.
The self guided tour does include a 15 minute tour of the Still room.
As mrsdrron said the intriguing part was the botanical room.Very informative.
There are more expensive tours.
