We are actually enjoying the queues. We had a few G&Ts under the belt thanks to the local ABC and a rather nice Big Wave beer and pizza, watched the fireworks then joined a large queue for ice cream. People hear the Aussie accent and suddenly we’ve made a lot of new friends. We have been asked if we are from NZ but suggested next time they wondered the nationality then ask people to say Fish and Chips. Apparently for Canadians versus USA it’s ‘out and about’.
