The view from my "office"

re: The view from my "office"

Now home. This is literally the view from my home office where I'll be kept busy sorting through receipts, lengthy credit card statements and piled up snail mail for a while ;) :-|.

Dang - rather be still on the road ;) :p.

If I was a nasty person I would probably say "stiff" but 'cos I'm not I won't
Just hate the anti-climax of home - all that paper work waiting.

re: The view from my "office"

I've never had any need to chase up any of the partners to get all relevant credits.

I think you have been lucky. I've had to do for both myself and my wife for recent trip. Same partner airline but where mine didn't post outbound, wife's did, and where mine posted inbound, hers didn't (odd I thought).
Tried the computer entry method first - result was no record of flights. Called WP line - asked to scan and attach details to email (said fax before but haven't faxed in years). Hers still haven't posted.

Oh please....

re: The view from my "office"

I think there are a few liberties being taken with the definition of "office" ;-)

This is (genuinely) my office view :)

Cheers,
Febs.

Not at all. It's where the "work of the day" is located.

Unless you consider you only "work" if receiving salary. In which case that would mean no one works at home.

Welcome home, I think, you know Perth does have some decent beaches and weather.

The intention, when I started this on the TOTT, was tongue-in-cheek, a view from 'the' office of the day.

Maybe the thread title should be 'The view from the office', rather than 'The view from my office'?

re: The view from my "office"

Nope.. not familiar.. No ducks in my office. Does it improve motivation? Struggling...
Must be Friday afternoon :p
I don't know about motivation but in theory it frees up more time for the lead/boss to cover their cough.

In theory when you have a problem talk the problem over with the duck and occasionally the answer will appear to you and you don't need to waste your superiors time.

Which I picked up on in the opening post. I will ask a friendly mod to update the title slightly.

re: The view from my "office"

I would suggest a change to encompass view from my hotel room also rather than that requiring separate thread - something like 'My View Today' maybe.

I am just busting to post a couple of pics from 78th floor of InterContinental Nanjing.

Work is over, been to the flower market for wedding on Saturday, delivered wedding dresses to bridal party, now time to put our feet up at the hotel!

This is my alternate office where I go to retreat when the yap yap in 47 languages goes over the top

P.S. As you can see I had to camouflage the actual view in case I gave away my actual location ;)
