The view from my "office"

No car park today and I did not even get a room with a view of the railway lines. Sadly I have a bit of a paved walking area with art work of some kind to gaze at from my office at the HI Express in Munich.

Wot no car park ?
I am disappointed about the colour, as I feel a black and white shot would have conveyed the bone weariness of the single man walking down the stairs on his way home from work.
However I do like the elongated shadows thrown against the buildings and the enigmatic quality of the office blocks which seem to form a comforting shield from the rat race that is city life.
To me Tony H this photo conveys an emotional depth that is the essence of the triumph of good over evil.

Thank you for that.

From my bike ride around part of the Canning River this morning.

The church and tower at what used to be the Christian Brothers College Clontarf, of now much diminished repute. These days the campus houses the Clontarf Aboriginal College. Including, the headquarters of the Clontarf Football Academy (AFL). Founded by the former Fremantle Docker's coach Gerard Neesham.

The reed-beds in the foreground of the first photo used to be a football oval where I played under 12's & Under 14's junior football against the Clontarf kids in the late 1960's. There is now a much bigger oval next to the river.

I am feeling rather melancholy today. I think this view, from my office at the Hilton in Munich City Centre conveys some of that. I did think of taking a black and white shot , as per the excellent suggestion, but could not be bothered. 😛

Whilst the view is somewhat spoiled by the lack of a car park I feel the street parked vehicles give an air of car parkiness.

Don’t apologise Tony H ..this shot is just drab enough to scrape in. 💨☔

Isn't a car park, a car park, even if it is a street car park?

and then moved to this new office, the CX A350-1000. Certainly has some nice improvements over the slightly older CX J seats.
