My office today was day 3 of our Rona Road Trip.
First stop, Hinze Dam.
View from the visitor centre from the west of the dam wall.

You’re free to walk across. So we did.
Looks much the same from the east.

Then it was off to Purling Brook Falls.
I imagine it would be spectacular after a good drop of rain.

From top to bottom, 106 metres.

You can hike to the bottom where there is a viewing platform and picnic area. It’s a two hour round-trip over tough terrain.

As readers of my trip reports will have guessed, Mrs H used her “dodgy knee veto” to kill off my hiking ambitions.

Given how long she spent in the nearby fudge shop, I suspect you are right!I was just about to ask how is Mrs H's knee - you know you could have gone down by yourself and she could have waited in a bar
A Rose by any other name is still a Rosé.A very wet weekend was forecast but someone forgot to tell Mother Nature. Both days were wonderful. And yes, that is a prized Rockford Alicante.

They don't put it in the Rose section but closer to the Pinot Noir. But it is a wonderful glass. I used to imbibe at the upmarket Feathers at Burnside but they ran out a few months ago and so was surprised to see it is available at Henley Beach in a much less glamorous setting but the view to die for. And about $4 a glass cheaper. Happy camper.A Rose by any other name is still a Rosé.
Good Rosé is often made from Pinot if that excuses it.They don't put it in the Rose section but closer to the Pinot Noir. But it is a wonderful glass.
Ah, spent one Bastille Day dinner here a few years ago.Happy Bastille Day all
