Went for a walk along the beach at Glenelg today and was stunned when I saw a Virgin plane taking off over the sea. So used to just a few small planes now.




And sadly the view from my office this day last year flying from WLG to ZQN

A uniquely Orstraylan breakfast… Cardboard box of corn flakes in a plastic bowl, long life milk in the frig, nescafe bags for the ensuite water jug . plastic bag with two slices of white bread for the ensuite toaster.. or a paper bag containing two cold hard brown rectangular frisbees masquerading as toast.
The fried eggs were at least usually fresh and yellow but the bacon was so hard and dry it exploded in a million pieces when knife approached

I really feel for those who were saving points and planning their first adventure in J or F
The world has changed and we will never see our Utopian world of travel again.. well not as we saw it anyway..

Indeed! Originally >100k miles booked, by year end we'll be well under 10k instead.

We had pretty much no snow in winter this year (UK), so that's where it went!
