I would love to be snorkelling there. I’m enjoying it more and more now that I can no longer pursue some of my previous adventures like skiing and walking holidays.

Privileged to be here.
There is *nothing* like 75,000+ people at the MCG all in total silence with respect for our fallen after the Last Post is performed.
Then the roar of 75,000 at the end of the National Anthem. I tear up every time.

Apparently a world record crowd since Covid.

I agree with your sentiment about the emotional feel having attended a few over the years, and the 'buzz' that goes through the whole place.
And Essendon won as well. I got teary about that.

Those idiots standing in the aisle at first bounce should be banned from the MCC member's area. It's the most anticipated H&A game of the year. You either get there on time, or you wait until the first break in play to find your seats.

Standing in aisle is no problem, they're not obstructing vision - it's the muppets with a tray of four beers with four meat pies balancing on top making their way across a row during play.

Besides they would only have had to wait about 20 seconds for the first "break in play" as the Pies kicked the first goal 😟.

Canning River at Rossmoyne this morning. Superb autumn morning to be on the bike. I have never seen so many people out for 'exercise', even more than during the first lockdown early last year.

The smoke from prescribed burns over the last few weeks is still hanging around.
