The view from my "office"

Here it is - view from northern suburb over towards airport. Would have loved to capture a plane in the shot, but my daughter took it. The double was starting on RHS and higher than original rainbow 🌈 so of course daughter missed it 🙄

Walking my dog this morning and came across 3 curlews - wasn’t quick enough to whip out my phone while they were standing, they got spooked and had started flying away (got two of them starting their takeoff roll)

As they are nearby, will try and get a photo without the dog present

It has been chilly overnight in Perth for the last few days and we have delayed our morning bike rides a bit. The advantage is that you get mornings like this.

Oh my kids (and wife) would love to see that Lego exhibition as we've watched both series so far...knew he was on HFC, but didn't know he was @ReLoad. Wow, memories...

Walking my dog yesterday and looking at the vast changes our local council are making to the creek surrounds - that’s a lot of plants (which I believe the majority will probably die). They are trying to water them to get early growth and ground traction, but I think they’re shoveling 💩 uphill.

Round 2 vs the builders next door goes to us, we now have a new fence (they destroyed our existing one with sloppy demolition work.....). That's 2-0 to us so far with many more rounds to come.

Just in time to protect the strawberries which are starting to ripen up. I may even get back to the UK in time to sample them ;)

It being another lovely, if cool day, we went for a drive up into the Darling Ranges and visited Mundaring Weir. This dam was built to provide the water for the Goldfields Water Supply Scheme. It was completed in 1903 and the wall was heightened in the early 1950's.

As kids we would occasionally go to see it overflow - not these days.

The No1 Pumping Station one of the original 8 steam powered stations on the way to Kalgoorlie. In the late 1920's early 1930's my father used to cut timber as fuel for one of them.

It is only open on weekends but there are big windows

The chimney - no way would I be climbing that ladder.

Most of the water in Perth's dams came from the 2 desalination plants.
