The view from my "office"

As JohnM is on his travels and unable to do his normal Perth boosterism I will take up the mantle. Storms are forecast in a coupe of days but at present the mornings are superb.

The Rossmoyne Jetty on the Canning River - I am lurking at the end of the jetty.

Our bikes - after climbing lots of steps up the dam wall yesterday my knee was a bit sore and I used 'power, today in places that I normally wouldn't.

The Black Swans were also having a nice morning

Room top right, far end of main building above restaurant.

Food: So, so. Only had one dinner, wasn't wowed. Had a charcuterie platter in the bar, was pretty good, washed down with some local whites.

Went in to Yea for pub lunches. Preferred the pubs.

Flathead was excellent at the Yea Country Club Hotel.

My understanding from the new owners is they are opening new restaurants at Trawool over Winter and substantially changing the food offerings, so I'll give them a second chance.

Out on our walk this brisk Brisbane morning:

Neighbouring unit has these out by the front door

Weird that I’d never seen this tree before, just off the walking path as I had to detour due to escavation work on the creek. Love the layers of foliage and flowers.
