The view from my "office"

Allowing my son to have a friend sleep over last night, 36 hours before my exam (thinking they’d sleep as they went to bed at 9:45pm) was sheer folly. Heard them playing video games at 5am (they were talking), couldn’t get back to sleep, so took dog for a walk

Went back to water tower and walked around it, taking photos of all the animals:

on my way back home the sunrise was starting to colour the clouds nicely

On a slightly cheerier note, that's probably one of the best beaches I've visited in the UK in terms of look & feel. A real golden sandy beach!

A little later on, we then headed to St Govan's Chapel which is nestled on the side of the cliff.

Be careful of the firing range, though!

It's interesting the first time I went to Cornwall (in 1982) and saw the beach at St Ives as I came in on the train I was pleased to see a proper beach in the UK - lots of lovely beaches down there. Glad to see you're getting out and about again. Adelaide into 7 day full lockdown today

Authorities seem to be being a bit cautious? Seems to be an excess of ES?
It's all staffed by volunteers, so good on them I guess!

Having been in lockdown for most of this year it's been pretty difficult. Pretty much hit the wall, so dropped what we were doing, hired a car and booked accommodation (stopped caring about the cost and this point) and just hit the road.

I still don't understand the point of these small lockdowns in Aus, either do it properly or not at all! But that's like a conversation for another thread....

It always grabs my attention when I see a group of fair skinned people sitting in the full sun with very few hats in sight and little sign of sunscreen. And there is obviously a pretty hot sun about going by that weather warning.

Although the weather warning only tells of 'Extreme heat'. Might only be mid 20's ....

Still sitting in full sun with no head covering then the UV is going to be dangerous. My wife's cousin who lived most of her life in England died of skin cancer. Ireland sits at No.3 in the World rate of skin cancers, Norway at No.9 and the UK at 13th.

Edit: The weather certainly seems to be pretty warm.
