The view from my "office"

Cherry blossom overload in Deloraine TAS today, nearly as good as being in Japan !! ( OK if I am going to be honest I would rather be in Japan 🙅‍♀️) plus one red Japanese maple, and even the woolies Carpark had blossoms !

How is it that the one armed man in your photos keeps swapping his lost arm from left (in previous photo) to right in this one? He seems very flexible!

This morning's office was the Bream Creek farmers market on a cool and misty morning. To get there, a 45 min drive through some bucolic countryside around Nugent

The site of the market is also charming

But the monthly market itself was a huge disappointment. It's got a great name, but it must be too early in the season. Not a patch on the humble Evandale Market @drron . Struggled to buy a couple of chutnies etc.

I was very disappointed in the Evandale markets ! Didn't buy a thing, won't be back, but did go into a shop opposite the hotel that I bought a bracelet at last time I was down - they are going to get me the matching ear rings 🙂

We have picked up a few collectables from the stalls in the hall on various visits.

If you’ve just eaten, or get queasy easily… feel free to skip over this post.

With the warning done, on to some signs from my recent FNQ trip.

First, an ice cream shop that closes before it opens:

In Kuranda, this chocolate shop has the right idea.

Now I know what you’re thinking, nothing in those photos to make me feel ill. And you’re right.

Last chance to bail out…

Okay, your were warned. Twice.

Next is the Japanese restaurant at the Kuranda markets.

Pretty much any other reason for beating closed is better than a sick chef, surely?

And finally the bubble tea kiosk where the bloke serving had his bare feet up on the counter and was cutting his toe nails.

Makes you wonder what’s in the bubble tea… especially that last flavour on the right?

I'm leading a history excursion on the weekend, so today's office was a bit of a recce to make sure all the tracks were accessible after the rain we've had.

Well, this creek's up a bit. coughy passed me by with a dead sheep on the back, going for burial. he stopped for a chat for a while while I held my breath!

Can't walk the group through that, so plan B:

View over the farm, with old convict bridge I've shown before. Spring lamb. Yum!
