My office for yesterday, today and tomorrow has been the Qld Cricketers Club @ The Gabba, watching the First Test against England.




Whereas this pitch invader (and the second guy this afternoon) both left the ground in the back of a paddy van

To my amazement, test result came in at 00:30. I'm freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Meeting cancelled as they've jumped the gun on the WFH advice so meeting is now remote. So very glad I paid a premium to sit on my couch at home.

Why: Put up here by QF because my flight today LRE-BNE went tech and I couldn’t make my PER connection.

Point of interest; Any time I’ve stayed at the BNE Ibis on my own dime, I have never had the exalted Car Park View.

What was I previously doing wrong?

Late arrival into ROK, after my first flight suffered a mechanical issue, and the plane had to return to BNE. Lucky to have been transferred onto the last flight as some pax were bumped ( went from a 717 to a Dash8. But i did receive SC and points for both flights

To be fair, the BNE Ibis is fine for an overnight stay. It’s hardly at the depths of a Formule 1.

The rooms are spacious and modern - and it is very conveniently located.
