Walked past another local station tonight.....
.... on my way to my Hamer Hall office for the evening for an important meeting fifty years plus in the making and the attendees
"Rocked The House". An amazing concert featuring (L-R) Russell Morris (white hat), Brian Cadd (Father Christmas), Glenn Shorrock (blue jacket), Ross Wilson (brown suit), JPY (the one who's got the fountain of youth in his back garden) and Ellie Hooper (red outfit that must've been spray painted on) and an awesome backing band:
OMG - the rock royalty of the 60s-80s. And they all can still belt out their greatest hits and hit all the high notes! What an amazing two hours. (If you're in Sydney, they play one concert Wednesday at State Theatre, try to get tickets - was sellout here in Melbourne).
All were great but the final set of Russell Morris' "The Real Thing" followed by Glenn Shorrock's "Help Is On the Way" followed by Ross Wilson's "Eagle Rock" followed by JPY's "Love is in the Air" had everyone on their feet and just about lifted the roof off Hamer Hall. Two hours plus of great "Reminiscing", no "Hating the Music", just lots of "Love in the Air" and your heart soaring on the "Wings Of An Eagle" - nothing but "Sweet Sweet Love".
Ok, I'll see myself out.
