The view from my "office"

re: The view from my "office"

LAX, GC, PHX, LAX - are you in middle of a status run?
No, just went SLC-PHX-LAX today. Could have gone direct but Delta wouldn't give me QF SC :p We overflow the GC today.

I did do a run last week though, PHX-DFW-MSP-PHX, 270SC in 12 hours at ~USD3/SC. Who would have guessed fMSP (a Delta hub) would work for an AA run.

You may well say that, TRTMA, I couldn't possibly comment! :p
Not even on whether to use mint sauce or one made of veal stock? ;)

Coincidentally, MRSTMA got some loverly 'frenched' chops out for the BBQ tonight.

Gorgeous view. The 10 pars helped make the view more pleasant.

The view from my office today included watching people get rescued from the California Screamin' ride at Disneyland Adventure Park. Sometimes it's good to be on the ground.image.jpgimage.jpg

re: The view from my "office"

I have been doing the dad thing this afternoon helping the eldest Jnr Steady get hours up on the L licence - so I got driven 130km round trip to pick up some 2013 Mill Block Pinot Noir :)

So just to be clear, you had your son drive you around the wineries and you're trying to pass it off as driving lessons. Well played Steady.

re: The view from my "office"

I can't provide a pic from my office today, but allow me to explain.

Today's office was Disneyland. Whilst riding the Matterhorn I seemed to be attracting an unreasonable amount of attention. I checked for all the obvious stuff like food on my face etc. yet there was still way too much pointing, whispering and photographs being taken. Of me. Or so I thought.

When I stepped off the ride I was very quickly flanked by two huge unfriendly looking guys wearing all black. The security look. Then it clicked. There was someone famous riding Matterhorn and it certain wasn't me. Turns out it was the Jonas Brothers. If you're opening another tab to Google them, don't worry, I had to ask a nearby tween who they were.

Anyhow, by the time I figured out I'd ridden with teen celebrity the huge unfriendly looking dudes in black were making clear that no more photos would be allowed.

So no pic, but a mildly interesting anecdote.
