I was also in Sarajevo a few weeks ago and heard about the tunnel, but didn't visit (claustrophobic!). Have you found Archduke Franz Ferdinand's car yet? So much history in one little city! This afternoon’s office, the “Tunnel of Hope” under the airport in Sarajevo, engineered, dug out and constructed in 1993 during the siege of Sarajevo. Our guide was a 10-14 year old boy during those years, so his account was first hand. He emphasised his information was also completely factual and could be verified. He was an excellent guide during our two days here.

Yes, such a beautiful city with so much stark recent history. I was there in 2015 with daughter who has been researching and investigating war crimes since 2003, particularly against women and children. It has been a harrowing process for her team and they are still at it (she was there last month). In 2015 she told us that the women and children were only now starting to open up about the events.I was also in Sarajevo a few weeks ago and heard about the tunnel, but didn't visit (claustrophobic!). I loved Sarajevo!

Pre 9/11, you could get the Jump seat from CBR to SYD if you asked for an earlier flight out! That used to be fun - although last off the plane.VH-LQF Dash8-400 CBR-SYD 0600 departure office today. A quick hop, as part of a multi-city trip to India.

Just another Y seat, no neighbour - so was good.
As we approached the landing at SYD, I could hear the “30, 20, 10” (I’m assuming distance to touch/land) counter go on. It was pretty clear to me, unsure how many in the cabin noticed. I was in 2B so it was audible from my seat. Felt like I was sitting in a simulator
