The view or two from my "office"

My views in the last 20 minutes - a lovely constitutional along the beach does wonders for the soul (pun intended). Now to head back for a cuppa with my father, breakfast and Conference Day 2

So am I. I'm surprised the decline (tunnel) is off the very bottom of the open cut. Many years ago there was a fatality in Australia when there was a big rainfall and a mud rush in such a circumstance, and the whole lot flowed down the decline killing a couple of people in there. I thought there was a reg these days forbidding declines at the very bottom of open cuts.

Yeah but how long has the pit been there - probably "grandfathered".

Not a great deal of rain generally in Cobar either (although not downplaying the safety risk).

Heyy if you're still there,

Take a drive up Scenic Drive and turn left and go down to Bethells Beach. "Te Henga"

Worthwhile, Piha without the people, serene, rugged and beautiful.

(when u get to the water, turn right and go over the sand dune to O'neills bay.)

Freakin' awesome !....there's a path that goes up to the top of the cliffs where you overlook the beach and bay from maybe 100m or so, TRUELY MAJESTIC !

Shhhhhh......, don't tell anyone ;-)
