The view or two from my "office"

Last view of the house before I go back home. Starting to take shape. That yellow on the outside is too dark and will be closer to cream. Brown under the eaves.

I love the grey swirling finish on the garage. Not visible here.

Took a few minutes to work out these are the septic tanks. There'll be 2.
Pretty tidy worksite John. Always a good sign.

Looking good JohnK - you must be pleased.
Thanks. Pleased is an understatement. Love it. Think it will be a great place to relax and unwind for 2 weeks. No noise after 9:00pm. Saw this BBQ the other day and it's only 3,700 baht.

Still quite a lot to do

- wife to decorate interior
- need to pave the driveway
- landscape front garden for flower beds and some trees for shade
- landscape side vegetable garden
- guttering
- pool table
- possibly small swimming pool
- golf practice nets if not too expensive

Time is the only constraint. Most of the above I'll do myself and more than likely give the work to brother in law.

@RB this time 3 years ago we were cycling the Dolomites, such beautiful countryside, we did 7 days of cycling. Lovely little towns. I'm enjoying the photos
Sounds like a great way of seeing the region. Was it an organised tour or did you take or hire bikes?

Did you have to pay/use status for exit rows or just got lucky?
I asked at check in if any bulkheads or exit row is available and I was offered the row 13 XL seat. Next time, I will make sure to ask for row 1 XL seat ... Did not pay anything for this seat though

Edit : as the ticket I booked was Flex Y, I was given a complimentary meal. @Daver6 - May be I was given a XL seat free of charge due to the Flex booking, perhaps?

Been a while since I’ve been to this office.

Don’t be fooled, it’s actually the QF F lounge.

Out of interest when was that Ansett travel wallet handed out. I have something similar however it brown leather, it use to be much lighter shade of brown however over the years it became darker as I used shoe polish to get rid of the scratch marks. I no longer use it but it it is the one Ansett item I have not given away.

I wish I knew @Matt_01

It was a gift/give away from a very generous AFF member @doctork.

The leather one looks nice!

I forgot to mention something very important.

Everything you see is my wife's idea. She spent hours and hours on every single detail. She's done a great job. Even the past 2 weeks she's been asking for my opinion and I've stayed out as I don't want to ruin what she's done.

I did design the floor plan. Builder was impressed. Thought it was architect design but all I tried to do was maximise space in out 9m x 11.5m house.

Can't wait for April 2023.

@prozac , there was a group of us (16) all friends. We booked through a company in the Dolomites, who hired out the bikes and helmets to us. We were based in a town call Villabrassa (south Tirol) stayed at the same hotel. Each day we would either cycle to another town/area and the company would pick us up in a bus to return to the hotel or they would pick us up in the morning and drop us in a town/area and we would cycle back. Or some days we caught a train. Great cycle paths, beautiful countryside, wonderful towns and villages. Such a wonderful trip, loved it!
