The view or two from my "office"

I have previously posted photos of the Sikh Memorial Park - close to the part of the Canning River that Daver 6 and I have highlighted recently. Today my wife and I were riding past when we realised there was a celebration on there. It was the Sikh Society of WA hosting a little commemoration. There were some temporary displays, food, a climbing wall and bouncy castles. There was also a little marque with some dancing and a band. It was fairly small with only a couple hundred people around but everyone was having fun.

Nice to see all those love pictures from around the world, but my office view is a lot different. Outside of BKK I live out of the factory dormitory and my view is the local food stalls. I've nick-named it "Ratville" with my daughter, as its amazing to see them scurry everywhere even in the daytime. No golden beaches or luxury resorts here!P3031209 (002).jpg

Oh, and i forgot to mention they have a lovely modern drainage system to take away all the cooking rubbish and wash up water!!!!! One benefit though is being an avid birdwatcher it certainly is a feeding ground minus the rats. I commonly see black collared starlings, Great and Vinous breasted mynas feeding.
