They forgot to load the F champagne

Do people care the same way about spirits? Some may care. When I ask for Gin and tonic I don't care if it's Gordons, Tanqueray, Beefeater, Hendricks.

I know some are outraged when they only get Hennessey Prive instead of Paradis on EK F ;)

I would suspect for those willing and able to spend $10k+ on a one way F fare the little details make the difference between booking on different airlines.

Unfortunately some of us only get to experience Hennessey Paradis on EK.:)

And all is not lost it seems! Most efficient and quick response from my comment to EK Customer Affairs Australasia.

"... Thank you for your feedback received with regard to Hennessy Paradis not being available on board your recent travel from Brisbane to Dubai on EK434/3.
I have inquired this with our catering department and was informed due to stock issue Hennessy Paradis could not be served or made available on board.
Stock is expected to be available soon and will be served in the A380 social bar area and the first class cabin, until that time Hennessy Prive will be served.
..."

Now we need feedback from EK Fs as to whether this has become a reality.

Yes that's an extreme example.

I suspect, and I could be totally wrong, only a few people research and care about the wine/champagne offered on any flight. Most just accept the choice they are given.

I suspect you might be wrong on this issue. Spirits in particular... all the gins you mention, for example, taste quite different. Hendricks in particular (I don't like it at all!)

Same with champagnes. There are some I don't love (Pol Roger in all its variants). But regardless of that, even if a particular passenger couldn't tell the difference between Moet and Vintage Moet, it's pretty easy to tell from the label if you're being served the $30 or $200 bottle. If you're paying upwards of $10K for a ticket, you don't expect to be stiffed.

For at least some passengers in First, their choice of class of service on a plane is an extension of their lifestyle. So it may not be too hard to determine what they're being served, and what to expect to be served.

I will be surprised to see Paradis or Prive served in the A380 bar for both F and J. On my recent flight I had to ask the FA to bring a bottle to the bar and share it with some folks in J. She said it's only for F pax but since it was a short flight she eventually agreed.

Yes very impressive what you can do when you only pay workers $40 a week and work them to death in 50 degree heat and bury them in mass graves.

Not only "evil" ME airlines serve more then one champagne choice in F. I don't think it's acceptable QF offer three very different varieties on the menu but in fact only serve one choice. IMO they should offer at least two premium options onboard in case some pax don't like a specific brand.

I think he means in both areas for F pxs. (As they used to do.) On last flight, Privé was only available to F and I think XO for J. Privé is nice but not in same class as Paradis. (Unfortunately on Jan flight from Vienna where they had it, I had leg in a brace after knee tendon repair and on anticoagulants so had to limit myself to one small glass!)

When you purchase a ticket you surely enter into a contract with the carrier, yes? So if I'm prepared to hold up my end by valiantly attempting to drink my bodyweight in decent champagne then decent champagne should be provided!

Interesting how you chose not to comment on the validity.
Now tell us all. Is it valid? Is it true? (My previous post).
No one has to agree, but that's not the point, is it...

Also read that EK F are stopping Hennessy Paradis and whatever is left is going to be used until finished. Missed the boat on that one :(

has anyone experienced it running out on the longer flights - i.e. QF7/8? that's a fair amount of drinking time...
