Ticketed Qatar Flights Disappeared

Oh @Seano987, this is not looking good for you. The ticket issuing is done by Qantas, not Qatar. The fact that the Qatar flights have been showing as "Not Confirmed" for so long means that there are no award seats available on those flights and no matter how much Qantas requests Qatar to release additional reward seats, there is no obligation for Qatar to do so. While this is 100% completely due to a Qantas failure/incompetence, the chance of them actually fixing it for you is extremely low, and the longer you wait the less options you will have.

The best advice is to make lots of noise to Qantas via every channel available to you. Be the really squeaky wheel. Remain polite but persistent and insist they find a solution.
Just an update...
Tried calling again, said I needed a firm date when this would be resolved and was told they couldn't specify as they are waiting on Qatar and have no control over that.
I requested award seats on QF9 through to London to be released and they obliged - so at least we can now get to our starting point in Europe. Still better than economy I guess and should be able to sleep a little better at night, so will take this as win. Will be careful with any future bookings that include Qatar (wish I'd read this and similar posts first), although it might be wishful thinking to assume I'll have the opportunity to book Qatar flights through QFF again...
Thanks for the info. Have been in the points game for a while but am still unclear on exactly how everything works behind the scenes in regard to ticketing etc.
When the flights dropped off I immediately started looking for other options. On a separate booking, I managed to book Melbourne-Delhi, then Delhi-Madrid via Helsinki the following day, all in business. Would require a night at the airport hotel in Delhi but would arguably arrive less tired as all flying is during daylight hours. I booked these in an attempt to try and 'reserve' the flights in case our original flights weren't reinstated, and can currently cancel them without penalty. A big step down from Q Suites but better than economy. Do you know if Qantas will be able to incorporate these flights into the original booking if I tell them to forget about the Qatar flights? Or will I need to cancel these new flights and hope they reappear as award availability and then call Qantas back?
Am wondering if I just bite the bullet and proceed down this path rather than waiting for the Qatar flights that probably won't be reinstated. As keen as I am to keep the Q Suite dream alive, it's getting tiring calling Qantas every second day and getting nowhere. Have also tried emailing Stephanie Tully and also the generic frequent flyer email and no reply yet (1 week later).
