And I guess an ex VA bird waiting to disappear.
Wifi was included in the house we had. There was a local phone we could use in the house. We cant remember about our mobile phones if they worked or not I had pre booked lunch/dinner reservations before we left home.Hey Drron! We are booked for April. I was wondering what you guys did for Wifi/phone. Some places charge a crazy $10 per hour for wifi!

You definitely need a car - there is NO public transport. ( Most rental places come with a car included. ) I see Seaview is in " town " Apart from the "shopping centre" there are no foot paths. Driving is easy and you will get to see the whole island. Definitely have lunch at the Golf Club, and the Bounty for lunch is good. The "markets" were a bit of a disappointment !I booked Seaview which does offer free wifi and was the cheapest place using Amex travel credits, otherwise I didn't know what to do with that $200 that comes with the card. It seems centrally located and we will probably rent a car for a couple days. Def going to do Margarets Birding tour! Do we need cash or do most places take cards? For shopping, cheap cafes (we are not foodies, cheap and cheerful type), markets, etc.
Yes the place I booked gives 100Mb WiFi per stay! I will be picking up the Tourist Sim card. I just booked the car and accommodation. I picked the accommodation (A-Frame Chalets @ Mokutu) with the latest cancelleable date which is 4 days before we arrive. If the trip gets cancelled for anything related to Covid, my travel insurance won't cover! Some places have now got NBN satellite and others will include a small amount for free.
About two months ago they got a 3G/4G phone network so you can now buy a mobile data plan that makes slightly more sense. https://www.ni.net.nf/plans/mobile/
