TomCat's new digs!

I use just two saucepans (large and small) but have three fry pans and a wok. Plus two crueset pots with lids and the last two go under the sink. Items for the microwave into a cupboard.

Pantry is coming together

So, you may not have finished unpacking or stocking the pantry yet, but I’m seeing a lot of ‘air’ here that could be utilised and free up some space. Have you checked out the multi level storage items you can get from Kmart, Howard’s Storage (ridiculously expensive that they are). That might give you space to store those pesky fry pans.

Don't worry, it's far more stacked than in the Instagram worthy photo .

I just realised this thread started nearly 18 months ago - doesn't seem like it from here but must have been amazing from your perspectives

Floorboard scratches (hope not, but ...) try rubbing orange oil over it. Did a great job concealing the ones on my former floor, although the wood was lighter.

I think the flooring is laminate from earlier posts, so I wouldn't be rubbing anything on it like that if possible! Timber yes where it can be adequately absorbed.

Yes just laminate here. We accept it’s going to get scratches, rather inevitable.

Security door is now in, aircon people here trying to fix the system.

If its a laminate of actual wood, might still be worth getting a little bottle and giving it ago for any egregious scratches. I used it on my floating floor in my investment place - even with holiday tenants, it looked pretty pristine when I sold it!

In the industry Laminate generally by definition isn't timber but rather a printed image of 'wood look'.
Floors with an actual timber veneer are usually referred to as Engineered floors and can be sanded back like any full timber floor.
Both products can be installed as floating.
