TomCat's new digs!

Congrats on the house and impending arrival.

Is the purple tap water metered (ie are there supply/usage charges)?

Yes it's metered (and about the same cost as normal water).

Just wrote out our shopping list for Bunnings....its a big one
Oh. Just the very beginning. Bet you come out with more than is on your list ;).

Co worker moved into new estate and has restrictions on the type of letter box they are allowed to use, do you have similar restrictions?

Yep. No standard metal box on a pole. I was eyeing off a nice timber one but they seem to have stopped stocking it.

My next letterbox is going to be with a large storage underneath (think two boxes of wine size) with a combination lock. I've photographed the one near my house for when I need to get another one

Aus post sell a box that can take large parcels.

I think we're all sorted for our own backyard makeover this weekend.

We've hired a mini dingo so we can scrape out the rest of the weeds and builders gravel (neighbour told us its pretty common for them to dump really dirty fill). Then we're going to run over the lot with a rotary hoe to break up the clay. I've booked a soil delivery for Sunday, so we'll move that out the back. Will frame up garden beds for the fruit trees as well, and get the veggie garden in position. Then in the next couple of weeks we'll spread out the soil and get turf laid out.

In the meantime I've been working my way through the boxes inside. Front lounge room has appeared from under all the boxes. Just need to slide the entertainment unit into place and the back lounge will be more presentable.

And weather will be perfect. Not too hot.

I went to Bunnings today. Gorgeous day in Adelaide. It was gridlocked and I thought of you and Tommy.
