TomCat's new digs!

Helpful well timed rain, really. You wouldn't want to put the lawn down and then find the soil had settled like that.
We havent finished spreading it; there are still multiple piles to go into that area.

And I now have two mud covered pups who wont be allowed inside for quite a few days.

Geez it was a bit wet overnight. The rain sounded amazing on the 'tin' roof.

And we can now see which parts of the yard need more soil

Ah, wait until later. We've just had a massive rain fall in Adelaide about 5 minutes ago and headed your way. At least this will stop everyone in the media from moaning about how dry Adelaide is now.

Pity it's a lot harder to move soggy soil :(

Hoping it dries out a bit over the next few days. Poor pups looks miserable.
Can you get to a pet store and give them a bath? It won’t be better tomorrow - maybe even worse. Adelaide has been and still is awful.

If the BoM is correct then that is unlikely until at least December. Between 10mm and 30mm of rain is forecast for the next week.
Well aware of that. Adelaide has had around 30mm in last couple of days.

Maybe put some saturaid or wetting agent on the new lawn to help during the summer months.
Once we level it properly it shouldnt be such an issue, its just that we havent finished spreading the piles out and that puddle is where we need to move the soil to. There's only so much manual work I can do at the moment without wearing myself out.

Caught one of the pups sitting in a pot plant to eat her biscuit this morning  Poor thing hates wet feet.

Eastern Tas?! I thought the west coast sucked most of the prevailing precipitation before reaching the East ... oh wait ... it's coming from the east currently ...

512 km composite Melbourne Radar Loop

Yep. With easterly systems, the rest of Tas, normally in rain shadow of western mountains, really cops it. My record was 200mm ( 8 inches in the old money) in 36 hours.

And with easterlies ... Surf's up!
