Finally received our "final" electrical plans yesterday. They've mucked a few things up that were correct at contract, so just getting those fixed up then that's done. One step closer.

Not really. We went over it together quickly last night. Its a bit weird that they've moved things since we signed off on them last, like a powerpoint that has been moved to a different wall in a bedroom but cant go there as Im putting bookshelves along that wall.

Final electricals were signed and returned last week (with corrections to those few things that had moved).

Our final construction plans are due today, and they should also be applying for our build permit today.

Went to Kmart yesterday to get some sheets for the spare room (I won a Kmart voucher recently), but came home with dinner plates instead In my defence, they didnt have the colour I wanted in the sheets so I need to try another store.

Was really frustrated with the store yesterday, they've rearranged it to be one where the checkouts are in the centre and I had trouble finding things as nothing was where it used to be. Couldnt even find a basket to put my shopping in, so probably spent less than I could have.

The sheets look decent enough, 500TC cotton. They also have an outdoor dog bed thats on my list now.

I really, really like my Target sheets. Satine by memory but great quality. Liked them so much, I went back and bought a few spare and havent had to use them yet.

I already have really nice sheets for our bed, I just dont want to share them with the spare bed so figured Kmart would do. Same with towels, I'm not a fan of sharing that sort of thing.

I wish I could. We were told our construction plans were be ready today, and nada. Not even a ‘sorry they’re delayed’ email. One of the other building companies is advertising a 12 week start with completion by Christmas, yet we’ve been going a year and don’t even have a freakin build permit yet.

I feel like that right now...

We do finally have our plans. That look pretty much identical to what we signed in October The only correction required is to remove obscuring from the rear bedroom windows as it is not required under building regulations.

I think @TomVexille might have to pull out something nearing the bottom shelf of the red wines for tonights muted celebration @blackcat20. Makes me not want to ever build. Given my age, I think that's a likelihood anyway.
