TomCat's new digs!

Well the development is coming along nicely and it looks like our stage will title on time (so far, so good).
Update July.jpg

We have our "colours" appointment coming up on Saturday where we get to choose all the things. We've already made most decisions, but have no idea what colour garage and driveway we want.
Picked out a lovely walnut laminate for our bathroom cabinets but havent decided what colour bench top to put with it (I'm sort of leaning towards white, but may stick with walnut).

Don't be afraid to go Dulux paint. It is worth the extra cost and they can usually provide a colour consultant.

If I was building again I would have a water hammer arrester on the water line to the washing machine so the installed pipes are good for a century or more. Getting a plumbed fridge that dispenses iced water is a winner and have an isolation valve to turn the water off to it is a good idea.
Have the oven with a side opening rather than a front opening.
We did double glazing but that can be expensive so we use E glass at our boarding houses and lots of insulation to slow heat transfer.

We did that when we built our place 24 years ago !! :D

I like the colour on the bench top in the photo - a good "neutral" colour !! :D

Im not a fan....its a bit too beige for me.

I was thinking similar but I like simple white.

Single basin? Which I also prefer because I dont see why I should have to clean 2 basins when 1 is an option. I actually dont like basins, I like similar to the below but looking/wanting is free, paying for it on the other hand.... :)

The tube there looks like a cigarette butt.

Re: benchtop, add me to either white or dark but not beige.

Practical? Doesn't look like there is much space for water, whiskers, toothpaste etc to run away? Where do things get stored?

If you end up with a room that you feel is too small use full length mirrors to make the room feel much larger.

A longer outlet would help flush the basin more so than the shorter one pictured.

I also vote white - not that we have a say, we're not paying for the house! ;)

We have an 8 camera security system that is quite difficult for someone unfamiliar with our place to spot. The picture quality is fantastic. You may be able to do your place with less cameras as we are on half an acre (2024 square metres).

Saturday morning saw us spend four hours at the studio with an interior designer selecting everything for the house. We went in with most things already decided so I hate to think how long it would take if you hadn't done your homework.

Driveway:

A little surprise when we discovered that a concrete driveway is prohibited by our estate so we had to blow the budget on this (admittedly gorgeous) exposed aggregate driveway and front path.
