TomCat's new digs!

I went back to the beginning and after 5 pages decided to be lazy and ask. Do you have an energy racing for the house and if so what was it? Ms FMs has just been rated at 7.1, but I am not quite sure what the star ratings are these days.
The requirement I think is 6 but ours should be more than that given the double glazing etc.

Better view of the front door render. Still not thrilled but hoping it looks better once the painting is complete.

Alfresco beams and ceiling still need to be painted. Assume they leave this stuff till last so it's clean at handover; garage still needs a final coat which I assume will be done once the garage door is fitted. Still waiting for the rest of the downpipes but that should be soon given bricks are now clean.

Got a brief peak at the floor tiles through the goop, looked good with our cabinets.

You are going to have to post photos once you have done all the landscaping - it should look beautiful
In about 3 years time I reckon!
I know it’s not what you wanted but I quite like the front entry. Maybe bricks all around may have ‘crowded and darkened’ the entry and made it look less spacious?

Definitely not three years! backyard will be turfed before we move. The rest can be done gradually over weekends. Fences booked for two weeks time which makes that part easier.

Great to see how quick yours is moving along! Sometimes makes me wish we went for ‘off the shelf’. We are currently in a standstill waiting for our windows from Europe to come off the ship.

Our house was custom and took 18 months from when they started. We moved into the house before it was completed and they finished it around us :)

As a comparison our slab was poured 20/03 and we are pushing to get in Melbourne Cup weekend. Much smaller house then in this thread, single level home, but full custom build with a smaller builder on a tight site in a tight street, I.e. you can’t even put a skip on the site, setback from street is about 1.5m.

The ability to move around makes things so much easier. Even so that seems not too bad.

We now have completed downpipes and a garage door.

Plumbing and electrical done, though of course we can't see if the bathrooms are finished.

Oven will be installed at handover to ensure it doesn't get stolen.

As far as we can see there's a bit of painting to finish (garage and alfresco), flooring to go in and the driveway. And that's it.
