TomCat's new digs!

They look lovely, thought hopefully ours stays a lot smaller.

Someone in our estate had their entire house emptied overnight. Makes more more determined that we don't move until we're done with our holiday. Must also organise security doors.
Wow, that is just awful!

When you posted you were going to get keys before your holiday, I was wondering if your house would be safe. Can you leave handover until after your holiday, for insurance purposes/builder is responsible?

I doubt it. Should be reasonably safe empty and locked up.

it could also be a case of trying to remove fittings like ovens, stoves, dishwashers etc. I think the security door idea is a good one.
Maybe a car parked in the driveway? (or will they "half inch" that too?)
I don't know if lights on timers fools anyone anymore either.

At the rate we're going we'll be lucky to have keys before then anyway. There will be an oven but nothing more to steal. Tall fences, locked gate, garage has a deadbolt system hooked up to an app. Flood lights with motion detection and camera.

Some friends have just put their rental property on the market, and over the last few weeks they have been doing work there, they left quite a few dollars worth of tools locked inside overnight. Of course the place was broken into and all their stuff stolen, bloody lowlifes.

I wish you well, I’m sure it will all be worth the wait

We live in a country where crime pays.
Too many people getting off with a slap on the wrist.

We get great camera shots of intruders onto our properties. Cameras are very reasonably priced and the picture quality is very, very good.
Worth considering.

My brother has had cameras installed in his boat yard in Gizo, not to protect against random thieves, but to protect against his staff stealing and slacking! He can even watch via his smart phone from a different country.

Supervisor update today. Shower screens have been replaced. Kitchen window to be fixed next week and bench top to be sorted. Dirty soil to be removed the week after.
Progress indeed and good outcomes.

What happened to the mystery pink mark on the en-suite bench? Is the bench to be replaced?
