More Asturias, please! We were planning to go there after Rally Portugal in 4 weeks time. :(

Next year, maybe!
A few photos from when we stayed at Cangas De Onis in early June 2015 (first week of June). In hindsight it seemed we were a little early with the rain still hanging around

Plenty of fishing and some great walks available

Woops. Burgos is actually in Castile and León. But it’s “on the way“!

last two Asturian Cider. THE COMPLETE GUIDE TO DRINKING CIDER IN ASTURIAS

Asturias is a great province of Spain to visit with few(er) tourists. The Paradores are the place to stay in Asturias, as they are in most of Spain. Paradores Spain - Spanish Paradors - Parador hotels - Spanish hotels

These have upset my daily schedule of posts! PM me for more.

A few from Asturias, I was there for a round of the European Historic Rally Championship based in Pravia, it was coolish and moist, I was surprised as to how different this area of Spain is to how I imagined it would be.
Harbour at Cudillero and driving inland. It seems i didn't take many photos (other than of cars), would love to go back.
Highly recommend the area for their cheese and other dairy products.

I have to go back here, but not on a Sunday!

Just keep posting or write a mini TR with just photos and where they are

Thanks!

I’m concerned I’m taking over the thread!

After issues on AFF 18 months ago, when I already had four TRs and two Spainish wine tour reports in preparation, subsequently scrapped, I vowed to never write a TR for AFF again. Unfortunate.

A couple years ago I went to Tanzania and spent a couple months at an orphanage in a very remote part of the country. The first couple of days were way out of my comfort zone in terms of the luxuries I'm used to having but I quickly adjusted to the simple way of life and developed a routine that I very much miss to this day. I would have to say it is one of my most memorable trips. The journey there was a mission in itself. Flew into Dar Es Salaam via Abu Dhabi with Etihad then had a huge argument with FastJet as they insisted my internal flights were paid with a fraudulent card even though I had the card in my possession. After a domestic flight it was a long drive to my destination. During the time there I witnesses so many unsafe practices on the roads, an overpacked minibus flipped with fatalities, a man lighting a fire under fuel truck on the side of the road somewhere between Mbeya and Malawi. Was certainly an eyeopener. The children all had problems of their own, some life threatening but they always found things to smile about. I certainly miss it!
