TravelPass with DSC offer (No Longer Offerred)

Hey just wondering if you've had any reply from Harry on your TravelPass DSC issue. I'm up to week 6 of waiting for the same thing. Still too early in the Qantas book to lodge a claim. Cheers
Hi seat11a - I called again yesterday, because I didn’t get the call back. Update from Harry was that the SC’s would post within two weeks. I then had to give him another set of flights from last weekend that were paid for using the same TP 😁 Stay tuned.

Oh wow. I really hope those credits come thru. Gives me hope I’ll be able to get mine. You’re doing a great job keeping on top of it. They won’t even look at mine yet. But I anticipate a lot of leg work. Cheers.

So this poses something interesting. My TP credits have come once the entire TP has been used. Now I've never had this situation of using one TP for multiple bookings, so it's hard to say how the system figures this out - as in might they have posted post the entire TP being used? or (some time) after each flights?

Reason I say this is that all the credits I've had for TP use with DSC have been combned in one big batch run - may have shown up 4-6 weeks later, but say 3 flights in a TP booking earning say 60 SC, then the DSC TP entry is just 60 SC with no individual entries for each segment.

Now you've followed up with QF anyway and they'll do it manually and who nows, you may get lucky down the track, but it's something I hadn't considered - using a TP for more than one booking and at the time of asking for credit the remaining booking(s) hadn't been all used.

This could definitely be the case that the trigger is that the last flights paid for on the TP are completed. But I don’t trust them 😂 I’m just glad I’m still six months away from my WP anniversary date so there’s plenty of time for Harry and I to become great mates 😊

Scenario's based on the TP T&C's in the confirmation email I received upon issuance:
  • Pay for entire cost of booking using TP leaving Residual TP Credit - Eligible
  • Pay for part of booking cost using TP leaving Residual TP Credit - Not Eligible
  • Pay for part (remaining TP balance) of booking using TP leaving no Residual TP Credit - Eligible

As the use of TPs with DSCs progressed, the T&C evolved. My first couple earned DSCs if I used the TP for at least half of the cost of a booking, or exhausted the remaining balance. My last few required me to use the TP to pay the full cost of a booking, or to use the remaining balance.

My double status credits from the January flights landed last night - well done Harry! I have to check Mrs Rugby’s landed and then monitor for the SCs from the flights we took a couple of weeks ago - but we’re getting there 👍

Happy to say my DSC came thru today as well, this for travel in early May. Glad to see you're having more success too. Maybe the issues they were having at the start of the year with status credits was to originally blame. Thanks for the update. Cheers

Just as a data point, my DSC for a trip 2 May - 19 July have just posted. Quicker than previous times. Probably because I didn’t actually need them. Due to status support and PC+ rollover, I achieved LTG and retained WP with the base status credits. I know I’ve got no hope of ever achieving LTP. 🤣

I had 4 of these to use post covid, have used 3, all came through around the 4 weeks later mark. The last being May this year. Have my last one in play which was due for Dec 23 expiry; I’ve booked a Mel-Sin with it for April 24. Will be interested to see if those DSC’s post.

I'm counting on yours posting - I'm in a similar position and plan to use my last one in July 2024 for MEL-LHR-MEL. Will book in 2023 when there is a Europe sale.

Well, 10 days after the final segment were flown under a booking that exhausted my last remaining 2 x SC travel pass the double SC's have posted (as a lump total, not segment by segment).

Ten days is good, considering it took 10 weeks for the first such credit after travel to post. That was in November 2021; 2 x SC for that trip did not post until Feb 2022.

To be fair, going by other's posts, I was lucky and all SC's posted without my intervention - although that took some patience ...

I can close this chapter.

Agree, it seems to have improved. I took a DSC TP trip 1 Nov, and the DSC had posted appox two weeks later - it actually surprised me how quick they came through. One more to go next week for me so hopefully will get the reward in short order :)

There appeared to be another run yesterday. I had DSC TP post from flights less than two weeks prior.

I'm now done with all my DSC TP's (and a bit sad really! Very handy to have! :) ).

flew my last DSC TP booking over easter, interested to see if they come through (given original cut off was end 2023). will keep you posted.

I flew my last COVID era DSC flight credit in February. You wonder if the data link or whatever it is will still deliver the DSCs or whether you’ll have to try and explain with documentation the whole deal. My flight credit was from a canceled MEL-BNE-MEL economy ticket in September 2021. Anyway it contributed $220 to my Business Class ticket for MEL-SYD-SIN-LHR-SIN-BNE-MEL flights. Completion of the trip was 29 February and the extra 660 bonus SCs landed on 10 March.
